Bristol City striker Ephraim Yeboah has joined Southend United on a 28-day loan deal. The 20-year-old moves to the League One side to gain valuable first-team experience.
Yeboah has made 13 appearances for the Robins but has found opportunities limited this season as the club sits eighth in the Championship with 13 points from eight games. The move is part of the club's strategy to develop young talent while they compete in a tight promotion race, with their next fixture away to Charlton on 10 October.
Manager’s vision
Southend boss Kieron Dyer welcomed the addition. "He's really quick and wants to play on the shoulder of defenders," Dyer said. He added that Yeboah's arrival would make their counter-attacks even more potent.
Familiar surroundings
Yeboah will link up with fellow Bristol City loanee Joe Duncan at Roots Hall. This follows a previous loan spell for Yeboah at Carlisle United towards the end of last season.
With the loan confirmed on the club's official channels, Yeboah will aim to make an immediate impact in Southend's upcoming fixtures.
