Bristol City have signed Kofi Balmer on a permanent two-year deal. The 25-year-old defender joins the club after making 22 appearances for Bristol Rovers on loan. Balmer was signed by Crystal Palace from Northern Ireland Football League Premiership side Larne FC in 2022, before appearing for AFC Wimbledon and Port Vale on-loan in the EFL. He joined Motherwell in 2024, making 33 appearances in all competitions before arriving at the Memorial Stadium in January. Balmer told the club website: 'It feels amazing to sign permanently. After an enjoyable and good finish to the season, and a really good loan for me, I felt like I was in a really good place at Rovers.' Boss Steve Evans added: 'Kofi was nothing short of exceptional during his loan with us and I'm delighted he's joined us on a permanent deal.'
