Bristol City have announced the departure of Republic of Ireland international defender Chloe Mustaki. The 29-year-old has left Ashton Gate upon the expiry of her contract with Bristol City.

What happened?

Mustaki joined Bristol City from SSE Airtricity League Women’s Premier Division club Shelbourne in summer 2022. The player was a Barclays WSL2 title-winner in 2022/2023 while she has made a significant contribution both on and off the field in the seasons that have followed.

Why it matters for Bristol City

With Mustaki out of contract this summer, it has been revealed that the defender will take up a new challenge in 2025/2026. After her Ashton Gate exit was confirmed, Mustaki said “I’d like to thank everyone at the club for making these past three years so memorable, both on and off the pitch.
