Bristol City technical director Brian Tinnion will leave his role this summer, ending a near 35-year day-to-day association with the club. Tinnion, 58, made more than 450 English Football League appearances for the Robins as a player between 1993 and 2005.
What happened?
Tinnion also held the position of manager and academy director, bringing the likes of Antoine Semenyo and Alex Scott through the ranks, before his most recent role.
Why it matters for Bristol City
Tinnion will continue to work for the club on a consultancy basis as a senior European scout, allowing him to spend more time with his family while continuing to play a part in shaping Bristol City's future.
What comes next?
In a letter posted on the club's website, Tinnion said: "After more than a quarter of a century at Bristol City, both on and off the pitch, the time has come for me to say goodbye to my day-to-day role at the football club."
