Bristol City face a test of their home form when Watford visit Ashton Gate on Friday night. The Robins aim to stop a slide after consecutive defeats to Southampton and Lincoln City ended a promising three-game winning run.
Home struggles
Their recent record at Ashton Gate is a worry, with six losses from their last nine Championship fixtures there. That run includes Tuesday's 1-0 defeat to Lincoln, where Freddie Draper scored the only goal in the 53rd minute. The club currently sits 13th in the Championship table with 10 points from seven matches, a position they will be keen to improve upon.
Watford's away woes
The visitors present an opportunity, however, as they are one of seven sides yet to win on the road this season. Watford have lost seven of their past eight away games in the league, failing to score in their last two. The last meeting between these sides saw Watford win 2-1 at Ashton Gate back in February.
Cardines' creative spark
A positive for City is the form of Rio Cardines, who leads the Championship this season with five assists and 24 chances created. Only West Ham's Jarrod Bowen has a higher expected assists total than Cardines' 2.4. His creativity will be key to unlocking a Watford defence.
Friday's match kicks off at 20:00 BST.
